Cable Description:
Pin-1 is ground (attach to batt. ground ) Pin-8 is busy Pin-24 is data
Interface to Radio:
When you take off battery and looking at the back of the radio, you will see two(2) contacts --NOT the battery contacts!-- the ones you want are recessed into the radio.
The top one is for pin 8 (busy) and the bottom is for pin 24 (data).
Connect a jumper between pins 4 and 11 on the DB25 at the RIB end.
Make whatever connections you can get to work to these pins as well as ground and power for the radio.
You should be able to read and program without any problems.
